SHINE/CDRS long-term goal is to dramatically and permanently improve the health status of underprivileged communities by providing sustainable, affordable and quality healthcare services,. addressing gaps in the healthcare system, providing comprehensive health education and school health programs and showing local communities how to take a leadership role in managing their healthcare needs in partnership with the limited government health apparatus.
As part of his efforts to draw global attention to the healthcare needs of the people of Pakistan, CDRS Executive Director Todd Shea utilizes music and the media to build bridges of peace and understanding.
